Ashton Recruitment require a Casino Manager our client based in Belfast City Centre.

Position: Casino Manager

Location: Belfast

Duration: Permanent

Rate of Pay: £38,000-£45,000 per annum

Hours of Work: 45 hours 5/7 days, which includes a variety of daytime, evening and weekend shifts

My client is seeking a dedicated and motivated Retail Manager with a deep understanding of the competitive retail landscape. Strong customer focus, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities are crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless daily operations of the business, driving profitability, performance, and exceptional customer service.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Complete the training program, becoming proficient in internal processes, procedures, and technology, including understanding the reasoning behind our methods.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of money management within the business, a critical aspect requiring a strong aptitude for numbers.
  • Regularly analyse weekly and monthly financial data, offering recommendations to enhance operational performance.
  • Manage all controllable costs within the approved budget.
  • Ensure the team has commercial awareness and understands how their actions directly impact the company’s profitability.
  • Assess the current business status and develop a prioritized action plan, outlining timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance policies and procedures.
  • Show competence in managing all operational activities, consistently reviewing goals and targets to stay on track.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service through direct interaction, being accessible, present on the floor, and efficiently resolving customer issues while providing business solutions. Offer support to employees when needed.
  • Build a strong team through effective recruitment, onboarding, and continuous training and development.
  • Lead, develop, and train the team to consistently deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a seamless customer journey.
  • Foster team growth by supporting career development for those with potential for future roles within the company.
  • Encourage team members to understand the company’s product offerings, enabling confident conversations with customers.
  • Maintain high store standards, emphasizing cleanliness and ensuring adherence to the company’s uniform policy.
  • Create an environment that promotes employee retention, offering suggestions and ideas to support this goal.
  • Monitor and adapt to local competition to maintain performance.
  • Maintain open communication with the Operations Director.

Essential Criteria

  • At least 4 years of experience in a customer-facing and cash-handling environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of 20 or more employees.
  • Strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a target-driven and commercially focused approach.
  • Excellent operational and planning abilities.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing to a highly motivated team.
  • Strong relationship-building and effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
