Position: Domestic Gas Engineer

Ashton Recruitment are currently hiring for a Domestic Gas Engineer for our busy client based in Castledawson.

This role will operate within a fast-paced environment and is responsible for delivering response Gas maintenance repairs, ensuring repair requests are carried out efficiently and cost-effectively whilst delivering a first-class service to our customer. This role will provide a service for construction and maintenance in primarily domestic buildings, while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):
– Meeting various targets e.g., productivity targets, customer satisfaction targets
– Keeping up to date with any changes in Gas Safety regulations
– Working on void and tenanted properties
– Working with other team members to provide a courteous and considerate service to clients and tenants
– Fault finding on Domestic / Residential gas systems
– Repairs, replacements, and servicing of Gas Boilers and associated heating systems
– Working under instruction to meet the needs of the client
– Observe the highest levels of health and safety, and use appropriate safety equipment
– Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of any relevant site-based or company documentation electronically or paper based as per requirements of the contract

Essential Criteria:
– Be time served or appropriately qualified and be able to demonstrate relevant experience
– Previous experience working within construction/ engineering industry
– Knowledge of domestic & commercial plumbing and Heating systems
– Evidence of delivering high levels of customer service
– Valid CSR Card
– Full driving license
– Gas Safe registered with experience in servicing domestic gas systems

Desirable Criteria:
– Experience in the social housing sector
– Experience using a PDA smartphone mobile working device
– Access NI clearance preferable
– OFTEC Registered
