Internal Sales Executive (Lighting)
Ashton Recruitment require an Internal Sales Executive our client based in Belfast.
Position: Internal Sales Executive (Lighting)
Location: Belfast
Duration: Permanent
Rate of Pay: £27,000 – £32,000
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00
The client is a family-owned business with over 4 decades of expertise in the decorative lighting industry. They are dedicated to delivering quality and attention to detail in every project, providing customized lighting solutions through their proficiency in Lighting Design consultancy, bespoke manufacturing, product sourcing, and a selection of agencies they represent to B2B clients. Their multicultural team is committed to offering personalized service to clients worldwide, ensuring that every space they illuminate reflects their unwavering commitment to quality.
Duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Assist the project team by preparing quotes and sourcing products.
- Manage incoming sales inquiries, addressing them directly or forwarding them to the appropriate team members.
- Oversee online sales opportunities, including product sourcing, quote generation, and post-sales support.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical details.
- Communicate with clients to address inquiries and fine-tune quotations.
- Prepare quotation documents using internal systems.
- Ensure accurate data is maintained in the CRM and other sales platforms.
- Follow up on all quotes to encourage prompt order placement.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in lighting sales or quoting.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn basic lighting systems, including LED and dimming technologies.
- Proficient written English for effective communication via emails and live text chat in sales and support interactions.
- Solid understanding of commercial mathematics, including discounts, markups, and VAT calculations.
- Competent general IT/computer skills, with familiarity in using multiple systems such as email, CRM, order processing, live chat, spreadsheets, and website management. You’ll work with dual monitors to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
- Highly organized, capable of managing 10 to 40 sales opportunities at a time, each involving multiple aspects and stakeholders.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong spoken English and professional phone etiquette.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- GCSE Math and English at Grade C or above.
Desirable
- Experience in a comparable role.
- Internal sales experience within the electrical industry, whether at an electrical contractor, wholesaler, or lighting supplier.
- Background in selling lighting products.
- Passion for interior design.
- Commitment to personal growth and self-improvement.
