Nightshift Warehouse Operative

This role involves general warehouse duties including stock replenishment, goods in, picking orders and loading and unloading vehicles. The role also involves delivering excellent customer service by working flexibly as part of a team, ensuring stock is replenished, to achieve the Warehouse objectives and continuously improving performance against set target.

Position: Nightshift Warehouse Operative

Location: West Belfast

Duration: Permanent

Pay Rate: £28,485 per annum

Hours of Work: Sunday to Thursday – 22.00 to 06.30 and alternate Fridays

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Ensure all goods are picked from dispatch according to the picking procedure as well as ensuring all goods are assembled according to the assembling procedure.
• Complete administration of picking documents as required
• Ensure products that are picked are of saleable quality in accordance with the Company policy – particularly health and safety and quality
• Ensure the correct labelling of all orders ready for dispatch
• Replenish the warehouse as and when required, ensuring that stock is always available for picking.
• Ensure that all vehicles are loaded correctly and on time in line with the Company load planner
• Ensure that all pallets are secure in accordance with health and safety regulations, and are compliant with health, safety and hygiene legislation
• Ensure all incoming goods are to the standard required by the Company, including temperature compliant
• Ensure products are located in the correct place, and that stock is rotated effectively
• Communicate in a polite and clear manner to customers and other employees
• Perform any other related duties and specific projects as assigned by Management to contribute to the overall aims of the Company.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Have previous warehouse experience
• Use knowledge to solve basic problems
• Display strong attention to detail

Desirable Criteria

• Have experience of working in a food distribution environment
• Have experience of driving a forklift
