Parks Operative

Position: Parks Operative

Location: Belfast, County Antrim

Duration: Full time, Temporary

Salary: £10.41 - £10.41 per hour

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

– To drive and be responsible for any allocated vehicle and trailer To adhere to drivers’ daily check and accident/ incident/ vehicle defect procedures
– To load and unload vehicles and move equipment
– To use allocated technology equipment, eg digital camera and IT systems To maintain buildings – sweeping, mopping, dusting
– To maintain locations – sweeping, hoeing, raking, mowing, grass cutting etc
– To maintain tools and equipment
– To use powered hand tools
– To carry out horticultural and minor arboriculture operations and maintenance
– To report any accidents, incidents, defect, hazardous equipment, acts of vandalism
– To complete all relevant paperwork
– Any other duties as and when required

Essential Criteria:

– Hold a full current C1+E driving licence
– Hold a full CPC One year’s experience in:- Gardening and horticulture
– Using powered hand tools and equipment
– Dealing with members of the public in a face to face setting
