Production Operative (Feed Production)

Position: Production Operative

Location: Belfast

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £12.60 to £14.75 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – Dayshift

Week 1 – Monday to Thursday 6am to 6pm & Friday 6am to 12pm

Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 10am to 10pm. These hours can vary.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Weighing ingredients, assembling pallets of bags, ripping and tipping bags, working bagging lines
• Performs various manual operational activities and/or operates basic machinery / tools
• Performs basic checks and controls on materials, like checking weights, size, visual checks etc. Signals deviations with supervisor
• Cleans all equipment and work environment
• Working as part of a team, discussing work with colleagues and supervisor
• Provides information when asked, follows-up instructions and guidance from colleagues and supervisor
• Works in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures, as well as technical standards
• Signals potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience in warehouse/ production environment
• Good understanding of English due health & safety of working conditions
• Ability to work hours required i.e 6am starts & 10pm finishes (on weekly rotation)
• Previous experience working with feed or ingrediants

Desirable Criteria:

• Health & safety accreditation
