Purchasing Co-Ordinator

Ashton Recruitment require a Sales and Purchasing Co-Ordinator for our client based in Portadown.

Position: Sales and Purchasing Co-Ordinator

Location: Craigavon

Duration: Temporary – Permanent

Rate of Pay: £26,000-£30,000 with bonus

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 08:30-17:00

Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
  • Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality
  • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfil all customer requests
  • Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit the company
  • Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
  • Authorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping

Essential Criteria:

  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Prior experience of sales and purchasing (business to business) is preferred.
  • Flexible attitude and friendly professional manner.
  • Good formal education, and good written and verbal communication
  • Friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Self-motivated with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Strong work ethic, team player and willing to learn about all aspects of the business.

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience of Sage200 System preferred
  • Previous experience working in the engineering / electrical components sector preferred
