Assistant Digital Analyst

Ashton Recruitment require an Assistant Digital Analyst for our client based in Belfast.

Position: Assistant Digital Analyst

Location: Belfast

Duration: Temporary

Rate of Pay: £12.93 per hour

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week

To be responsible to the relevant Senior Digital Analyst or Digital Analyst for assisting with work associated with the development, implementation and support of IS/IT solutions and the delivery of same to agreed time, budget and performance standards.

Please note: the focus of this temporary assignment is primarily in the area of Desktop and Networking Support. The role is to assist with the rollout of upgrades to the council’s network and desktop equipment, and includes driving the assigned council vehicle (alone, in order to ensure personal safety in relation to the ongoing situation with Covid-19 (Coronavirus)) to the various remote sites.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Undertake work in one or more of the following areas:-

– Desktop support;

– Network administration and support;

– Service desk support;

– Training;

– Software development;

– Package acquisition and implementation;

– Post implementation support; and

– System configuration and security.

• Contribute to or draw up work plans for assigned work as directed.

• Keep detailed records of own time and assist with performance monitoring and targeting to ensure the delivery of work to quality, time and budget.
• Develop skills in planning, designing, preparing and producing documentation to support the promotion, use and maintenance of information systems.

• Develop and maintain information systems skills and knowledge.

Essential Criteria:

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of application forms:

• have five GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English, or completion of a recognised IT skills development course (or equivalent qualifications); and
• be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least one year’s relevant experience in software development; or information systems and technology support.
