Credit Controller

Ashton Recruitment require a Credit Controller for our construction client based in Carryduff.

Position: Credit Controller

Location: Carryduff

Duration: Temporary – Permanent

Rate of Pay: £11.95-£12.99 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 9am-12pm

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Checking customer’s credit and approving or denying it, based on industry standards
• Negotiating payment plans and setting up terms and conditions
• Setting up repayments and working with Debt Counsellors
• Ensuring customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices
• Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time
• Liaising with Solicitors and Bailiffs
• Maintaining accurate records
• Implementing changes in the company’s credit control system

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience of working as an Credit Controller
• Excellent communication skills
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and Sage (preferably Sage 200)
• Excellent Telephone manner
• The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• To be able to work and interact with people at all levels.
