Forklift Driver – Counterbalance

Ashton Recruitment are hiring a Forklift Driver for our client based in Belfast Harbour, our client offers a great working environment along with various training opportunities to upskill. This position will be full time with a view of becoming permanent after 12 weeks probationary period.

Position: Forklift Driver – Counterbalance

Location: Belfast Harbour

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Rate of Pay: £14 per hour (Potential rate increase once full training is completed)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Duties will include (but not limited to):

• Operating a range of forklift trucks

• Unloading steel from ships

• Loading and off-loading steel trailers

• General stevedoring duties

• Material handling & stock control

• Equipment checks & maintenance

• Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures

• Assisting team members

• Flexibility to meet operational demands

• Supporting training and upskilling

Essential Criteria:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• 2 to 3 Years previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift
