Position: In-House Solicitor

Location: Belfast

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours

 

They are a fast-growing, progressive company and seek to appoint an In-House Solicitor with a particular focus on corporate secretarial and compliance matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor to learn and grow in a commercial legal environment. The successful candidate will be part of a small team of lawyers and work closely with the Board and across the wider group of companies

  • Commercial contracts
  • GDPR
  • Systems, governance and IT
  • Dispute resolution

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Corporate work including restructures
  • Company secretarial duties documents, corporate compliance & governance
  • Supporting GDPR and other compliance related matters
  • Reviewing and reporting on commercial contracts
  • Assisting in the organisation of compliance documents and training events
  • Support with team diary management and general administrated related function
  • Assisting with the resolution of construction disputes
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to support the Head of Legal

 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years Post-Qualified Experience as a Solicitor; or
  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
  • IT Literate
  • Well organised, self-motivated and ability to multitask
  • Capable of dealing with a fast-paced demanding commercial environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

Desirable Criteria

▪ Experience working in regulatory matters;

Experience in a commercial environment e.g., some form of business environment
