Reach & Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Position: Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Driver

Location: Belfast

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Pay Rate: £11.74 per hour

Overtime: Paid at time & a half

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday 6am-4pm, Friday 6am-1pm (3 weeks out of 4)
Monday to Thursday 8am-8pm, off Friday (1 week out of 4)

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Receiving, handling and control of raw materials and goods supplied, so that it is determined whether deliveries are in accordance with the purchase order and shipping documents, and are in good condition.
• Reporting any discrepancies of receipts, purchase orders or shipping documents to the supervisor
• Packaging & storing materials, finished goods & pallets by forklift ensuring they are stored in the allocated location
• Conducting inventory & stock checks and reporting any discrepancies
• Transporting raw materials & finished products to and from various departments
• Performing various manual tasks within the warehouse/ production department
• Ensuring work place is kept clean & tidy to avoid any health & safety breaches
• Following all health & safety procedures as laid out by the business
• Communication with colleagues & supervisors to ensure all work is completed
• Working in compliance with health & safety regulations as directed by the client

Essential Criteria:

• Valid counterbalance licence
• Valid reach forklift licence
• Excellent communication & teamwork skills
• 2 Years previous experience working in a warehousing/ manufacturing environment
• Ability to work under own initiative

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience working with feed or within a mill environment
• Health & safety accreditation
