Senior Warehouse Administrator

Ashton Recruitment require a Senior Warehouse Administrator for our client based in the Duncrue area of Belfast

Position: Senior Warehouse Administrator

Location: Belfast

Duration: Permanent/Temporary-Permanent

Pay Rate: £30,000 per annum

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 08:00-17:00

My client is a leading independent logistics and supply chain specialist with operations across key port locations throughout the UK and Ireland. They provide a comprehensive range of services including vessel discharge, warehousing, distribution, and port agency management. Renowned for their flexibility and customer-focused approach, they work with major importers and manufacturers to deliver tailored, efficient solutions that keep goods moving smoothly from dock to destination. With a strong reputation in handling bulk and breakbulk cargo, particularly within the forest products and general cargo sectors, they continue to invest in their people, equipment and infrastructure to maintain their position as a trusted partner in the logistics industry.

Duties will include:

  • Monitor labour utilisation including agency requirements and organising the same;
  • Book inbound traffic and allocating slots taking account of warehouse capacity and resources
  • Attend daily operational planning meetings to ensure inbound traffic is considered in terms of key rent and demurrage and to actively plan for intake
  • Monitoring key accounts and reporting KPIs
  • Send out daily internal operational management reports;
  • Work collaboratively with customer services to ensure and assist in meeting customer service levels;
  • Deliver site induction for all new arrivals on site;
  • Ensure that training files are up to date identifying where gaps exists, refreshers are required and organising the same;

Essential Criteria:

  1. Full UK Driving Licence;
  2. GCSE grade C and above In English and Maths;
  3. Proficiency in using Microsoft office products, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word;
  4. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise own workload;
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to give and receive information effectively;
  6. Ability to work flexibly in an environment with competing demands and deadlines from both internal and external stakeholders;
  7. Experience of managing high volumes of data and managing / prioritising deadlines;
  8. Experience of providing high quality service to both internal and external customers.

Desirable

  1. Experience of working within a logistics / warehouse business.
