Ashton Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Generalist on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding organisation operating across Ireland and the UK within the electrical, utilities, data centre, healthcare and hospitality sectors.

Group HR Generalist
Location: Monaghan, with travel to Omagh and other sites across Northern Ireland as required
Salary: €38,000 – €45,000, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, On-site

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR professional to join a growing business and play a key role in supporting managers, employees and senior leadership across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will be based in Monaghan, with travel to the Omagh side of the business and wider Northern Ireland sites as required. This role will provide both operational and advisory HR support, with responsibility for employee relations, HR processes, recruitment support, onboarding, compliance and people-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and leadership teams across the business
  • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and performance issues
  • Support workforce planning, organisational development and succession planning
  • Ensure HR policies, documentation and employee records are accurate and compliant
  • Coach managers on employee relations, performance management and best practice
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and talent pipeline development
  • Assist with culture, engagement, wellbeing and internal communication initiatives
  • Support payroll-related administration and employee benefits coordination
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and overall efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with NI and ROI employment legislation

Essential Criteria:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist or HR Advisor role
  • Previous experience managing employee relations cases
  • Knowledge of NI and ROI employment legislation
  • CIPD qualification, HR-related degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to Omagh/Northern Ireland as required

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience within construction, engineering, utilities or another fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-division operations
  • Experience contributing to HR projects, culture initiatives or change programmes
