Job Title: Steel Processor
Location: Northern Ireland
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour + £1.00 per hour timekeeping bonus
Hours of Work: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Steel Processor to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical approach who is looking to develop their skills within an engineering and steel processing environment.

The Role
As a Steel Processor, you will be responsible for preparing and processing steel components ready for fabrication and production. You will operate a range of workshop machinery, ensure parts are prepared accurately and support the wider workshop team as required.
Duties will include:
- Operating vertical drilling machines and steelworker machines
- Operating saws to cut steel to the required sizes when required
- Kitting and organising steel parts ready for fabrication and production
- Checking parts against job requirements to ensure accuracy
- Preparing materials and components for the next stage of production
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workshop environment
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
- Supporting the wider workshop team as required
- Carrying out other general workshop duties as necessary
Essential Criteria
- Practical and hands-on approach to work
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience within a steel processing, fabrication or engineering workshop
- Experience operating workshop machinery
- Basic understanding of steel processing or fabrication processes
