Ashton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Junior Spray Painter on behalf of our busy client based in Ballynahinch, offering consistent hours, excellent working conditions and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

This role will involve working within a production environment, preparing and spray painting paint trailers to a high standard.

Your duties will include:

• Reading and interpreting production information and specifications

• Preparing products prior to the painting process

• Spray painting trailers to a high-quality finish

• Carrying out basic quality checks

• Ensuring safe operation of equipment and machinery

• Working in a clean, organised and efficient manner

• Adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures

• Minimising waste and following company processes and guidelines

• Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm

• Friday: 8am-4pm

Production Supervisor - Fabrication
Location: Northern Ireland
Pay Rate: £16.00 - £18.00 per hour (DOE)

Duration: Temporary to permanent (after a successful 12 week initial period)

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor - Fabrication to oversee day-to-day fabrication operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintaining quality standards, improving workflow efficiency, and supporting team development within a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fabrication activities to ensure safe and efficient production output

• Plan and monitor workflows to minimise downtime and maintain consistent throughput

• Maintain high welding quality standards across all fabrication work

• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, fit-up and overall quality

• Train, coach and support team members to improve skills and performance

• Assist with onboarding and mentoring new fabrication staff

• Oversee correct use and maintenance of jigs and fixtures for consistent output

• Collaborate with management to resolve production issues and drive improvements

• Promote strong health & safety practices and good housekeeping standards

About You

• Proven experience within fabrication or a manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of welding quality and fabrication standards

• Practical knowledge of production workflows and process improvement

• Ability to lead by example in a hands-on role

• Strong communication and team leadership skills
